Tanyard Creek Hiking Trail

Bella Vista, AR

Tanyard Creek located in Bella Vista, AR is comprised of 4 different trails. The tanyard loop, the Avalon trail, the prairie loop, and the falls trail.  On this trip we made it out to the falls trail which was honestly what I wanted to view the most.  The falls and rapids are caused by runoff from the Windsor lake located above the hiking trails.  I have to admit this area has a lot of beautiful scenery that fells hidden away given how close you are to Bella Vista you are.

The parking lot feels kind of cramped, but provides ample parking.  There is also a pavilion for gatherings and onsite restrooms that are also a big plus!

The walkway to the trail head is paved which offers great accessibility.  While we only got to walk the rapids and falls trails I would rate them at an easy rating with it mostly being flat with minor elevation changes.

During our trip we encountered around 10 people total and 4 dogs (oh yeah this trail system is dog friendly as well! Just keep them on their leash.) all of which were very nice.  There was one unfortunate incident while on these trails.  While shooting a video with my drone I had an unfortunate run in with a tree branch which effectively made my aerial vehicle a submarine.  iā€™m sure you can guess how well that turned out.  Check out the video below!

Here is the self guided virtual tour!  Be sure to look around, there are lots of pictures scattered around!
