Dabbs Greer Town Hole Park, Anderson, MO

Dabbs Greer was an American film star born in 1917. Born in Fairview, MO his family moved to Anderson, MO as a child he grew up frequently visiting this sight to spend his days. Dabbs started his acting career at the age of eight with local theater productions. After attending Drury university in Springfield, MO he eventually landed a background role in the 1938 film “Jessie James” filmed in and around Pineville, MO. His career led him to make hundreds of appearances in over 200 television shows. His most notable role was Reverend Alden from the NBC series “Little House on the Prairie”. Dabbs Greer passed away on April 28, 2007 and is buried in a cemetery in Anderson, MO.
